Want to know more about YULA? You've come to the right place - get all the info on our products, processes and ingredients here.

  • Apple & Ginseng was our less popular flavour so we decided to swap it for the new Mango & Chilli, which we think you will love even more.

  • YULA is made with organic ingredients. Our Green Mate, Guarana, Acerola Cherry Juice, Lemon Juice and Sugar are all organic. That means that 98% of the agricultural ingredients in YULA are organic. And we are working on the rest!

  • We’re glad you asked that. Apart from our natural flavourings, all our ingredients are sustainably sourced. Our green tea is Rainforest Alliance certified, which means it has a particularly high standard of sustainability.

  • So many beautiful places around the world. Our green teas come from China and Indonesia, and the lemon juice, from Italy.

The maté extract – indigenous to Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay – is sourced in Sao Mateus in Brazil, along with the acerola juice also sourced in Brazil.

Guarana extract is sourced in established agricultural areas like Bahia and Amazonas in Brazil.

  • No, never.

Our ingredients come from established agricultural areas, so no rainforest is harmed in their production and they are all sustainably grown.

  • YULA drinks are made in The Netherlands. We combine the ingredients with sparkling water to create our energy drink. Cheers.

  • Our cans are aluminium which is 100% recyclable. In fact, aluminim can be recycled an infinite number of times. Our secondary and tertiary packaging is made of carton board, which is also 100% recyclable.

  • Good question. We’ll explain. Aluminium cans are just as recyclable as glass bottles, but take less energy both to produce and recycle, so they have a lower carbon footprint. Aluminium is also lighter than glass, so it’s easier to transport, which again lowers the carbon footprint.

  • No. YULA definitely doesn’t contain taurine and our energy ingredients are 100% plant-based.

The mental energy you get from YULA drinks comes from the caffeine in our green maté, green tea and guarana. All our energy ingredients are plant-based, so the caffeine is plant based too.

  • Green maté is a plant that’s native to South America. It comes from an evergreen holly (Ilex paraguariensis) and is pronounced “mah-tay” in its home country of Brazil. It’s grown and processed mostly in Northern Argentina, Paraguay and South Brazil.

The maté herb, and maté tea, play an important role in Latin American culture. The word “mateando” (drinking maté) is a symbol of hospitality. So, in true tradition, I guess it’s time you found a drinking partner!

  • Guarana is a tropical fruit that’s native to the Amazon rainforest. They have a striking look. The outside is bright red, and when opened they can look like an eye because of the black and white colours inside. No wonder it’s called the “fruit like the eyes of the people” in the local tribal language.

  • YULA contains 5.3g of sugar per 100ml. The sugar we use is Organic and comes from either sugar cane or sugar beet plants.

Just to compare, some other leading energy drinks (we’re not mentioning any names) have up to 11g sugar per 100ml.

  • Our goal is to plant 250,000 trees by 2021 through our partnership with One Tree Planted. You can find out more about the project, and about One Tree Planted and the work they do on their website.

  • A 250ml can contains 75mg of caffeine, and 30mg per 100ml. For comparison’s sake, a strong cup of coffee has about 100mg of caffeine.

  • The mental energy in YULA comes from caffeine, which is found naturally in green tea, guarana extract and green maté extract. We know afternoon slumps can be tough. So why not swap that coffee for a YULA instead?

  • Yes.

    YULA is not suitable for:
    • Children under the age of 16
    • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding (due to its high caffeine content)

In general, it’s wise not to have more than 400 mg of caffeine a day (or 200 mg for pregnant or breast-feeding women).

    YULA contains:
    • 75mg caffeine per 250ml can
    • 30mg per 100ml

  • YULA has a long shelf life. It can last for nine months unopened.
But once you open a can of YULA, keep it chilled and drink it within 24 hours.
